According to the Labour Standard, an eligible employee who works on a statutory holiday is entitled to be paid:time-and-a-half for the first 12 hours worked and double-time for any work over 12 hours; plus an average day’s pay.

As of June 1, 2018 the provincial government has raised the minimum wage to $12.65 per hour. Accordingly, all foreign workers salary must be adjusted to the new rate although the employment contract was signed before the above date.
