🇨🇦 TR-to-PR Applicants: Important Update!

If you applied under Canada’s 2021 Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident (TR-to-PR) pathway and are still waiting for your PR decision, you may be eligible for an open work permit.

📅 New deadline: December 31, 2026

You may qualify if you:
✅ Applied under the 2021 TR-to-PR pathway
✅ Currently live in Canada
✅ Were authorized to work when you submitted your PR application
✅ Met the required English/French language requirements
✅ Have valid temporary status, maintained status, or qualify for restoration

⚠️ Important: This is NOT a new immigration pathway, and the extension does not apply to all PR applicants or foreign nationals.

If you’re unsure whether you qualify, getting your situation reviewed can help you understand your options.

📩 DM “TR-PR” to learn more.

🚨 CANADA LMIA UPDATE 🇨🇦

Good news for eligible Temporary Foreign Worker Program applicants! The LMIA grace period has been extended from 60 days to 90 days.

This means IRCC may hold your work permit application while your employer’s LMIA is still being processed—if you meet the eligibility conditions.

✅ Your work permit expires in 2 weeks or less
✅ Your employer has already submitted a complete LMIA application
✅ The LMIA decision is still pending
✅ The LMIA was submitted early enough for a decision to reasonably be expected

⚠️ Important: This does NOT remove the LMIA requirement. A positive or neutral LMIA decision is still required for the work permit to be approved.

📌 Save this update if you’re waiting for an LMIA.

🇨🇦 URGENT UPDATE FOR CANADIAN PRs! 🚨

Have you declared all your family members in your previous immigration application?

If you have an undeclared spouse, partner, or dependent child, a temporary IRCC policy may allow eligible Canadian permanent residents to sponsor them — but the deadline is September 10, 2026. ⏰

⚠️ Key points:
• Applications must be received by IRCC on or before September 10, 2026
• Eligible applications submitted before the deadline can continue to be processed after the policy ends
• No further extension has been confirmed

Don’t wait until the last minute. Make sure you understand your eligibility and prepare your application correctly.

🇨🇦 REFUSED BY IRCC? DON’T GIVE UP YET.

A visa or immigration refusal can feel like the end of your Canadian dream—but you may still have options. 👀

Here’s what to do next:

🔎 1. Get GCMS Notes
Understand the visa officer’s concerns and what went wrong.

📄 2. Request Reconsideration
Depending on your case, you may be able to ask IRCC to review the decision.

💪 3. Reapply Strategically
Address every refusal concern instead of simply submitting the same application again.

⚖️ 4. Consider Judicial Review
If you believe the decision was unreasonable or procedurally unfair, legal review may be an option.

🇨🇦 5. Explore Other Pathways
A different immigration program may be a better fit for your profile.

⚠️ Don’t rush into a new application without understanding WHY you were refused.
