Since July 1st, new legislation has been reshaping the care sector. New profiles, new scopes and teams everywhere working out what that looks like on the floor.

Amid all of it, prof. dr. Jeroen Trybou (Ghent University & Zorgbedrijf Harelbeke) makes a point worth holding onto in the new episode of the HOTpod: whatever your title, you're a fully qualified nurse. And the sector can't spare a single one.

The full conversation lands next week, with Benjamin Willaert (Wit-Gele Kruis West-Vlaanderen), Eline De Bock (Care Talents) and host Pieter Claeys.

Is AI the end of the accountant? Not quite. The opposite, really.
That's the takeaway from the newest episode of the HOTPod, the House of Talents' podcast.

AI is automating the routine of finance at full speed: the bookings, the numbers, the compliance grind. But rather than making the accountant redundant, it's pushing the profession toward what people do best: advising, interpreting, challenging, earning the client's trust.

Host Jérémy Drossaer (General Manager Financial Talents) sat down with 3 CEOs who live this shift every day, Nathalie C. (CEO PIA Group Belux), Dimitri Beck (CEO d&p) and Raf Dom (CEO SBB Accountants & Advisors), for an open and honest conversation about where the profession is heading.

They dig into which skills matter now, the kind of talent the sector needs next, how training and recruitment have to change and why the more AI takes over, the more human the job becomes.

One thing's clear: the accountant of tomorrow looks nothing like the one of yesterday. And that's good news. Watch or listen to the full episode now.

Something Dimitri Beck (CEO, d&p) said in the newest episode of the HotPod, the House of Talents' podcast, stuck with us. To explain where the accountancy profession is heading, he reached all the way back to Darwin.

"It's not the strongest who survive, but those who adapt best and fastest.

AI has set off a kind of natural selection in finance. The numbers, the bookings, the compliance grind... software handles all of it now. So what's left for the accountant of tomorrow?

Host Jérémy Drossaer (General Manager Financial Talents) put it to three CEOs who are already adapting: Nathalie C. (PIA Group Belux), Dimitri Beck (D&P) and Raf Dom (SBB Accountants & Advisors).

So which skills still matter for tomorrow's accountant? Find out next week. 🎙️

Having a board is easy. Building one that matters is the real work.

So we put three people who'd know around the table with our CEO Pieter Claeys: Lou Van Beirendonck (Quintessence), Kathy Dewitte (VIVES ) and Steve Rousseau (World Of Talents).

Public sector meets private. Academic meets entrepreneur. And nobody held back.

What does a board really exist for? Who earns a seat at the table? And how do you keep it sharp instead of polite?

The kind of conversation that usually happens behind closed doors, now in your earbuds.

Tune in via Spotify or watch the full conversation on Youtube. 🎧

Last week, our Hot Shots took a step back from the daily rush to think about where we want to grow and how we can make an even bigger impact.

Of course, talking strategy is one thing. Putting it into action is another. So we swapped our notebooks for fencing swords, because fencing is all about the same mindset: staying sharp, making quick decisions, and going all-in.

Safe to say: we had a lot of fun along the way ⚔️

"Op de kranten van gisteren, schillen we vandaag de patatten. Dus laat ons bezig zijn met de toekomst."

Dixit Steve Rousseau in the newest episode of the HotPod, the House of Talents' podcast.
What potatoes have to do with the boardroom? You'll find out soon enough. 🥔

Together with Kathy Dewitte (Vives) and Lou Van Beirendonck (Quintessence), Steve (World of Talents) joined our CEO Pieter Claeys for an open, honest conversation on corporate governance. What does a good board look like? What's its role? And who actually belongs around that table?

Dropping next week. Stay tuned. 🎙️
