If you want to be a model, start doing this!!

I tell my students this: Educate yourself on the modeling industry if you want to become a model.

Watch fashion shows daily to study the ways the models walk. Come up with your own model walk based on the top shows, like Dior and Chanel.

Know who was model of the year (you have to know who Alex Consani and Anok Yai are!!) and study the supermodels of our time to understand how you can succeed in modeling like them.

Learn once and for all when fashion weeks are! In February and March, and September and October. First week of fashion month is New York Fashion Week, followed by London, Milan and finally Paris Fashion Week. Paris also had two couture fashion weeks showcasing only exclusive haute couture collection in January and July.

Become a model in 2026!

Here is how to become a model in 2026. Head to and find agencies in your country.

Those are reliable, high fashion modeling agencies you can apply to.

Model agencies usually have a tab on their website where you can apply. They ask for basic information like name, age, height and location alongside your instagram and simple pictures.

My tip is to apply to all of them and to find commercial modeling agencies if it doesn’t work out!!

Avoid doing this as a model!! The most common mistake I see models do is using the wrong pictures.

As a model, your social media is your portfolio, and so the pics you post there and the pics you send to casting directors matter if you want to book jobs.

Avoid badly edited, badly lit pictures. We want clean studio headshots with minimal makeup and a basic outfit for castings and high fashion pics on IG if we want to be a high fashion model. It’s that simple.

I go through my students’ profiles and I tell them: « post this, remove this, let’s make your profile into a modeling portfolio that books you jobs » because I think it’s so important to curate your image as a model.

Stop believing this about models!! No, we do not get to keep the clothes we wear on the runway as models!!

There is this urban legend going around that models keep the clothes they wear on the runway. That couldn’t be further from the truth!

No, I don’t get to keep the USD 25k gown that I wore on the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week, it goes to celebrities that wear it at the Cannes Film Festival, the Oscars, the Bal des Débutantes, but not my closet lol

I wore stunning Michael Cinco gowns that were then worn by celebrities like Veena Praveenar, Urvashi Rautela and more!
