𝐀 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬! 🤝💙

Through Give a Day - Vrijwilligerswerk & Bénévolat, we spent time at vzw Kompas, a wonderful organisation that supports people with disabilities in a warm, residential setting focused on care, autonomy and daily wellbeing.

We started the afternoon with a cosy lunch at Villa Ooievaar, a social restaurant where you can enjoy a nice meal while supporting their social initiatives around employment, affordable food and reducing food waste. Highly recommended for anyone in the Ghent area who enjoys lunch in a green setting.

After that, together with the residents, we:
• helped tidy up the garden at Zandeken
• got the terrace of Villa Ooievaar and the Orangerie ready for summer
• went on a relaxed wheelchair walk with the residents of De Wal

The whole team truly enjoyed spending time with the residents and their care team. A big thank you for the warm welcome and the fun afternoon! 😊
