Are labor rights the same as human rights? Some scholars have endorsed characters of human rights as labour rights. Virginia Mantouvalou ,Co-Director of the Institute for Human Rights and Lecturer in Law, University College London, in his European Labour Law Journal published on 2012 argued that labour right is similar to human right, but deep analysis has proved that the characteristics of labour rights differ from human right, because all labour rights are not articulated in the human rights act. The specific definition of labour right could be – combination of legal principles which protects workers from facing inhumanity in the workplace such as discrimination, torture, unpaid minimum wage, maximum working hours, etc. The aim of this article is to determine how the labour right in Bangladesh is being violated.
