বাংলা সাহিত্যের সমাজ সচেতন এবং বাস্তববাদী অন্যতম লেখক হলেন সৈয়দ ওয়ালীউল্লাহ । তিনি ১৯২২ সালের ১৫ই আগস্ট চট্টগ্রামের ষোলশহরে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন ।তিনি একাধারে অনন্য কালজয়ী উপন্যাস, মনস্তাত্ত্বিক নাটক, শক্তিশালী ছোটগল্প ও বস্তুনিষ্ঠ সামাজিক প্রবন্ধ রচনা করেছেন। চব্বিশ বছর বয়সে তাঁর রচিত প্রথম গল্পগ্রন্থ "নয়নচারা" প্রকাশিত হয়। ১৯৪৮ সালে তাঁর রচিত প্রথম ও সবচেয়ে প্রভাবশালী উপন্যাস "লালসালু" প্রকাশের মাধ্যমে তিনি বাংলা সাহিত্য জগতে এক নতুন ধারার সূচনা করেন। এছাড়াও তিনি চাঁদের অমাবস্যা, কাঁদো কাঁদো নদী, বহিপীর ইত্যাদি সৃষ্টির মাধ্যমে অনন্যতা অর্জন করেছেন । তার লিখনিতে বাঙালি জাতির ধর্মের কুসংস্কার, অসামাজিক কার্যকলাপ খুবই সূক্ষ্মভাবে প্রকাশ পায় । সৈয়দ ওয়ালীউল্লাহর সাহিত্য আমাদের অন্ধভাবে কিছু বিশ্বাস না করে যুক্তি দিয়ে প্রশ্ন করতে, মানুষের মনের গভীরতা ও জটিলতা বুঝতে এবং সমাজের অন্যায় ও ভণ্ডামির বিরুদ্ধে জাগ্রত হতে শেখায়

বাংলা সাহিত্যের অন্যতম প্রতিবাদী কবি হিসেবে বিখ্যাত সুকান্ত ভট্টাচার্য ১৯২৬ সালের ১৫ই আগস্ট কলকাতার কালীঘাটে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন ।কৈশোরে অসাধারণ সব সাহিত্যকর্মের জন্য তিনি ‘কিশোর কবি’ হিসেবে পরিচিত ছিলেন। তিনি অত্যন্ত রাজনীতি-সচেতন ছিলেন এবং মার্ক্সবাদীভারতের কমিউনিস্ট পার্টির সদস্য ছিলেন। সুকান্ত ভট্টাচার্যের মোট সাহিত্যকর্ম বা প্রকাশিত গ্রন্থের সংখ্যা ৮টি। তাঁর "ছাড়পত্র", "মিঠাকড়া" কিংবা "রানার" কবিতার পংক্তিগুলো কেবল কাব্যরস যোগায় না, বরং শোষিত ও মেহনতি মানুষের অধিকারের কথা বলে।সারা জীবন তিনি বৈষম্যমুক্ত সমাজের স্বপ্ন দেখতেন এবং অন্যদেরও একইভাবে চিন্তা করতে অনুপ্রাণিত করেছেন।

বিএএফ শাহীন কলেজ ঢাকা রাইটার্স ক্লাব -এর পক্ষ থেকে কিশোর কবি সুকান্ত ভট্টাচার্যকে তাঁর জন্মদিনে জানাই গভীর শ্রদ্ধা।আঠারো বছর বয়সের দুর্বার শক্তি ও তারুণ্যের প্রতীক হিসেবে কবি সুকান্ত আমাদের হৃদয়ে চিরভাস্বর হয়ে থাকবেন।মাত্র ২১ বছরের স্বল্প জীবনে তিনি তাঁর সাহিত্যের মাধ্যমে যে বিপ্লবের আলোড়ন সৃষ্টি করেছিলেন, তা আজও আমাদের গভীরভাবে অনুপ্রাণিত করে।

❝যদি তোর ডাক শুনে কেউ না আসে তবে একলা চলো রে।❞

বাংলা সাহিত্যের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ সাহিত্যিক হিসেবে বিখ্যাত কবিগুরু রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর ছিলেন একাধারে কবি, ঔপন্যাসিক, নাট্যকার ও দার্শনিক। তিনি ১৮৬১ সালের ৭ মে কলকাতার জোড়াসাঁকোর ঠাকুর পরিবারে দেবেন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর ও সারদা দেবীর কনিষ্ঠ সন্তান হিসেবে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তাঁর শিক্ষাজীবন শুরু হয়েছিল নিজ গৃহে। তিনি একাধারে ৩৮টিরও বেশি নাটক, ১৪টি উপন্যাস, অসংখ্য প্রবন্ধ ও ৫২টির বেশি কাব্যগ্রন্থ রচনা করেছেন। পনেরো বছর বয়সে তাঁর রচিত প্রথম কাব্যগ্রন্থ "কবিকাহিনী" প্রকাশিত হয়। ১৯১৩ সালে তিনি গীতাঞ্জলি কাব্যের জন্য সাহিত্যে নোবেল পুরস্কার লাভ করেন। সাহিত্যের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে তাঁর বিচরণ ছিল অসাধারণ। তিনি বাংলা সাহিত্যকে এনে দিয়েছেন এক নতুন দিগন্তের সূচনা। প্রয়াণ সময়ের নিয়ম, কিন্তু মহৎ সৃষ্টির কোনো অবসান নেই। তেমনিভাবে রবীন্দ্রনাথ কেবল একজন কবি নন; তিনি বাঙালির আত্মপরিচয়।

বিএএফ শাহীন কলেজ ঢাকা রাইটার্স ক্লাব -এর পক্ষ থেকে বিশ্বকবি রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরকে তাঁর অমর সাহিত্যকীর্তি ও মানবতাবাদী দর্শনের জন্য আজ তাঁর প্রয়াণ দিবসে জানাই গভীর শ্রদ্ধা। আজ তাঁর সৃষ্টিকর্মের জন্যই বাঙালি জাতি বিশ্ব দরবারে পেয়েছে আলাদা এক নতুন পরিচয়।

❝The martyrs shook the powers of darkness with the irresistible power of weakness.❞

In the history of the Bengali nation, the anti- discrimination student-mass movement marks the auspicious beginning of a golden dawn, a supreme achievement and a movement driven by the spirit of humanity. The student community's legitimate demands lit a torch of light in the heart of society and millions of people joined them to make that torch burn even brighter. Ahnaf was one of the martyrs of the student-led movement who sacrificed his life for justice. Shafiq Uddin Ahmed Ahnaf, a 17 year old student in class eleventh at BAF Shaheen College Dhaka, lost his life during the protests. This memorial honors his bravery and his sacrifice, keeping his memory alive.On August 4, he was fatally shot by police and embraced martyrdom. Although his life ended prematurely but he lives on in the hearts of many people.His death is an irreparable loss to his family, his classmates, his teachers, and the nation.We always remember him in our prayers. May Allah grant him Jannat, Ameen.
