Pro-tips for Freshers to get Placements!

- Build a balanced CV:
Don’t rely only on academics. Clearly highlight projects, student clubs, competitions, internships/part-time work and volunteering and always mention what you achieved or learned from each.

- Understand your chosen function:
Research the role you’re applying for (e.g., Marketing, Supply Chain, HR). Know the core skills, tools and responsibilities so you can link your academic experiences directly to the role.

- Prepare your experience stories in advance:
Be ready with 3–4 strong academic experiences you can explain confidently. Focus on:
What the situation was?
What you did?
How you did it?
What impact or result it had?

- Strengthen your Excel skills:
Practice key functions like VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, filters and charts. Be comfortable cleaning and organizing data, as interviewers often test basic data-handling skills.
