The President of Portugal vetoed the Mais Habitação bill and returned it to Parliament for revision. The imposed changes to the Golden Residence Permit Program will not be accepted until September 30, 2023:
If Parliament passes the bill, investors can no longer obtain the Golden Visa by purchasing real estate. Investment options left are:
🔹 to contribute to the cultural heritage of Portugal — from 250,000 €;
🔹 to support scientific projects or local businesses and buy shares of investment funds — from 500,000 €.
Investors can still get the Portugal Golden Visa by buying property before the bill is passed. The minimum investment in real estate is 280 000 €:
