Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation The Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal organisation dedicated to raising the esteem, pride and dignity of Aboriginal people.

The Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal organisation dedicated to raising the esteem, pride and dignity of young Aboriginal people in their Aboriginal culture and heritage. The Coomaditchie Artists' Co-operative is a vital part of our organisation, comprised of a group of Aboriginal people who love to paint and create artworks. We are East Coast Saltwater People and our work reflects the colours and images of our environment - the South Coast of New South Wales. In addition to the Artists’ Co-operative, as custodians of the Coomaditchie Lagoon and surrounding area, we provide employment and training for local community members. We are also committed to the regeneration and care of the land around the Coomaditchie Lagoon. Each time you purchase a product from our organization, you are making a significant contribution towards these objectives, and we thank you.

Last week we welcomed Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Dennis Wilson to Coomaditchie.

The Governor spent time with Aunty Lorraine and the team, sat with our artists and workers while they worked, and asked what their artwork means to them. She also caught up with some of the young people behind the Real MadeUp Stories podcast and picked up a few of our Dreaming Story books from the Ngaramura Project.

Mayor Councillor Tania Brown and Councillor Linda Campbell joined us too.

Thank you to the Governor and Mr Wilson for taking the time to visit, listen and learn about the people and work behind Coomaditchie.

💛 A huge thank you to Lenny B. and the Bronn family for their incredible support of Coomaditchie. After completing a marathon, Lenny raised over $1,300 through a fundraising campaign to support our organisation.

Taking on the challenge of a marathon is an achievement in itself, but doing it while fundraising for others makes it even more special. We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort and dedication that went into this campaign, and for the generosity of everyone who contributed.
