Where We Profit, We Reinvest — Northern Territory
The Mumpara Industries Board has approved our new 7.5% Indigenous Economic Reinvestment — and the Northern Territory will be an important part of that .
As Mumpara grows its operations in the Territory, our intention is simple: where we generate profits, we want some of that success reinvested back into strengthening the business economy.
As part of this commitment, we intend to engage with and support the Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network (NTIBN) and the important work it undertakes across the Territory.
is the peak body representing Indigenous businesses in the NT and has spent more than a decade supporting Aboriginal businesses to grow, connect and lead. Its work extends across advocacy, business support, industry connections, procurement opportunities and strengthening the voice of Aboriginal businesses in government and industry.
Through its and Employment Hub, Blak Business Directory, Procure Connect and broader advocacy, NTIBN is helping create the infrastructure and connections Indigenous businesses need to participate in the Territory economy.
That is work worth supporting.
Under Mumpara Group's Board-approved framework, we will target up to 7.5% of annual Net Profit Before Tax for Indigenous economic reinvestment, subject to commercial sustainability.
For our Northern Territory operations, our intention is for NTIBN and other appropriate Indigenous-led initiatives to benefit from that reinvestment — supporting business capability, advocacy, procurement pathways and opportunities for emerging Indigenous businesses.
This isn't about charity.
It's about backing the organisations already doing the work and helping Indigenous businesses build sustainable economic futures.
We have spent a significant part of our lives connected to the Northern Territory and working across Indigenous employment, business and community environments. Along that journey there have been successes, challenges and lessons.
There are things we would approach differently today.
I also believe prepared to advocate strongly for the integrity and future of Indigenous business deserve recognition and support.
Community trust can't be bought and it can't be manufactured through certification, media statements or corporate policies.
It has to be earned through actions, relationships and outcomes over time.
So don't judge Mumpara's commitment by what we announce today.
Judge us by what we can demonstrate tomorrow.
Build strong Indigenous businesses.
Create sustainable employment.
Generate profit responsibly.
Reinvest in the Indigenous business ecosystem.
Where We Profit, We Reinvest.
