Last week, Upskill Global attended the Shooting Stars Senior Leadership Camp in Perth — an incredible gathering of young Indigenous leaders ready to take on the world.

We are proud to partner with Shooting Stars to deliver our Champion Mentality Program, supporting alumni in building the skills, confidence, and career pathways they need to thrive.

It was also a pleasure to connect with Netrice, Acting CEO of Pakaanu Aboriginal Corporation our fellow partner committed to walking alongside Shooting Stars and investing in the next generation of Indigenous leaders.

This is what meaningful collaboration looks like — multiple organisations aligned on purpose, working together to ensure young talent is work-ready, supported, and seen.

What a great day in Port Adelaide today! 🖤💛❤️

Our Mentor Anzac was on the ground at the Reconciliation event, connecting with community, yarning with families, and standing alongside so many wonderful organisations.

At Upskill Global, being present in community is at the heart of everything we do. Reconciliation isn't just one day — it's about showing up, building real relationships, and finding meaningful opportunities to connect and support community.

A big thank you to everyone who came together to make today so special. We loved being part of it, and we'll keep showing up. 💙

We’re proud to welcome Adrian Hardy to the Upskill Global team as our new Indigenous Engagement Officer, supporting the Champion Mentality Program across Northam and Moora.

Adrian is a proud Noongar man with strong connections to community, working closely on the ground with local Elders, families, and partner organisations. His focus is grounded in genuine engagement, trust, and creating real opportunities for mob across the region.

He brings both lived experience and a deep commitment to supporting participants into training, employment, and long-term sustainable pathways. His approach aligns strongly with the Champion Mentality Program, helping build confidence, resilience, and leadership within community.

Adrian shared:
“I am always looking to give back to community and this role at Upskill Global allows me to continue working with mob to support and guide them towards better pathways. I am also excited to learn from the team and work together to build sustainable futures.”

We’re looking for a passionate Community Mentor to join our team and help deliver our Champion Mentality Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants.

This is a part-time, community-based role (3 days per week) focused on:
✨ Mentoring job seekers
✨ Facilitating our mentoring program
✨ Supporting participants into employment pathways
✨ Building strong connections with local community organisations and events
✨ Working closely with community in Northam & Moora

We’re looking for someone who is:
✔ Community connected in the Wheatbelt
✔ Passionate about supporting people into employment
✔ A strong communicator and natural mentor
✔ Ready to make real impact on the ground

The impact of intentional partnerships - Shooting Stars we love these updates 👏

We’re so excited to share that three of our Morawa alumni — Hannah, Danika and Maddy Ann — have been offered trainee roles in the Bellevue Ready Program at the Bellevue Gold Mine Site! 🌟

Shooting Stars partner, Bellevue Gold, will support the young women as they kick-start this exciting next chapter of their journeys.

A few weeks ago, the three travelled to Perth from Yalgoo to interview with Bellevue. We were eagerly waited the outcome, and we’re incredibly proud to see their hard work and dedication pay off.

Over a number of weeks, they’ll complete a series of site visits, gaining hands on experience across different areas of the mine. It's an amazing opportunity to explore career pathways, build confidence and learn more about the industry.

Hannah, Danika and Maddy Ann were also part of our very first Alumni Program in 2025, delivered in partnership with Upskill Global PTY LTD. We’re so grateful we’ve been able to stay connected and continue being part of their journey beyond school.
