🏆 FINALISTS AGAIN! 🏆

We are so excited to announce that Premier People has once again been named a finalist in the 33rd Belmont amp; Western Australian Small Business Awards 2026! 🎉

And this time, we have two reasons to celebrate:
✨ Premier People – Innovation & Creativity Award Finalist
✨ Nicky Stevens – Business Woman of the Year Finalist

Being recognised again is something we are incredibly proud of and reflects the passion, hard work and commitment that goes into everything we do at Premier People.

A big part of our Innovation & Creativity recognition comes from the way we approach training. Rather than simply recruiting people into roles, we invest in developing them. Our Conveyor Maintenance Training Program combines e-learning with classroom learning and hands-on practical training using our life-sized conveyor, giving candidates the opportunity to develop real skills and confidence before stepping onto site. 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

We’re also incredibly proud to see Nicky Stevens recognised as a Business Woman of the Year finalist, celebrating her leadership, vision and commitment to creating opportunities for people within our industry. 💛

None of this would be possible without our amazing team, candidates, clients and supporters who continue to be part of the Premier People journey.

What a season it's been. As proud Freo supporters, we've loved watching this team earn their place on the biggest stage. The hard work, the determination, the belief and the way they've backed each other all year has been incredible to watch.

At Premier People, we're big believers that great teams are built by great people. That's true in business, and it's true in footy.

We will be proudly wearing purple this weekend and cheering the boys on from the first bounce.

🏆 We're off to celebrate!

The Premier People office will be operating with a reduced team from 3:00pm Wednesday until 10:00am Thursday morning while we attend an industry awards night.

We're incredibly excited (and a little bit proud!) to share that Premier People has been named a finalist in not one, but two industry awards this year:

It's pretty special to see years of hard work, innovation and commitment being recognised in both training and safety, two areas that are at the heart of what we do every day. We are passionate about creating opportunities, developing people and ensuring everyone goes home safely, so being recognised in these categories means a lot to our team.

The winners of the Work Health and Safety Excellence Awards will be announced at the awards ceremony on 27 October 2026, so we will be keeping our fingers crossed for that one too! 🤞

Seeing all of this hard work recognised is incredibly rewarding and a real credit to our team, clients, candidates and industry partners who have supported us along the way.

🎉 Another group of candidates have successfully completed Premier People's Conveyor Maintenance Training Program!

Over the past two days, participants have gained practical, hands-on experience working with conveyor systems, learning critical maintenance practices, safe work procedures, isolation principles, and the skills required to confidently step onto site and contribute from day one.

This program is more than just training. It's about creating pathways into the mining industry, improving workforce readiness, and helping workers build long-term careers in conveyor maintenance.

Seeing another group complete and receive their certificates is a reminder of why we continue to invest in developing people, not just filling vacancies.

We're also incredibly proud that this program has helped position Premier People as a Finalist in both: 🏆 Work Health & Safety Excellence Awards 🏆 Prospect Awards

This recognition celebrates the success of our Conveyor Maintenance Training and our commitment to creating meaningful career pathways into the mining industry.

What started as a vision to address industry skill shortages has grown into a program that provides candidates with practical, industry-focused training, helping them gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to succeed.

This achievement wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our trainers, team members, clients, and candidates.

👏 Training Complete! 👏

A huge congratulations to our latest group of candidates who have successfully completed Premier People’s 2-Day Conveyor Maintenance Training Program!

Over the two days, participants gained valuable practical skills, industry knowledge, and hands-on experience to help prepare them for opportunities in the resources sector.

One of the things we're most proud of is seeing the growth that can come from investing in people. Our trainer, Matt, actually started his journey with Premier People as a trainee in this very program. Fast forward to today, and he's now leading the training and sharing his knowledge with the next group of future workers.

Seeing someone go from trainee to trainer is what workforce development is all about, and it's a great example of the opportunities that can be created when people are given the support and training to succeed.

Well done to everyone who completed the course, and a special shout-out to Matt for how far he has come. We look forward to seeing where this next step takes our candidates!
