Providing training and solutions for the meat and food industry for the past 20 years. Michael started in the meat industry in 1978 and has been involved in all aspects of the industry for the past 36years. Michael is the Director of FGM Consultants and is also one of the Principles of Food Safety Operations who deliver Nationally Accredited Training to the Australian Food, Meat & Hospitality Indu

stries and Eville & Jones Food Safety Operations the providers of third party meat inspection. Over the past 16 years they have trained in excess of 5500 people across many states within Australia. Prior to commencing FGM Consultants in 1998, Michael worked for Aus-Meat and the Australian Meat & Livestock Corporation (AMLC) holding such positions as Quality Auditor as well as heading the AMLC office in Korea in 1990. Michael holds many meat processing accreditations as well as being registered with Exemplar Global (previously the Quality Society of Australasia) as a Lead Food Safety Auditor in Livestock and Slaughtering / Boning Streams as well as Auditor Status in Quality Systems Certificate No. 12338 further he still provides Third Party Aus-Meat Auditing services to a large abattoir in Queensland. Michael runs a small cattle property where he lives and sits on the Baw Baw Business Advisory Board, Boy’s from the Bush Board (Indigenous Australian Training & Advisory Role), Baw Baw Big Blokes President and has completed past roles on the Gippsland Area Consultative Committee and the Gippsland Food Processors Group.

⭐️A life-changing journey from Jobseeker to Business Owner⭐️

After six months of job-hunting Tracee registered with us, FGM as a Jobs Victoria Partner. Tracee was keen to work as a cook or kitchen hand. FGM Consultants and Jobs Victoria supported her to get job-ready by coordinating food handling certificates, training her in interview skills and providing her with clothes and fuel vouchers for interviews.

We hope that Tracers story might help others in similar circumstances come forward and ask for help they may need!

Today our FGM mentors attended the Skye Southeast Careers Expo.

Our mentors were able to meet and greet with people in attendance and provide a brief session in regards to career opportunities within the Meat Industry.

Wonderful feedback from people with previous experience working in the industry and the stability of work they had. As well as positive feedback in learning more about the opportunities available within this industry.
