Wednesday Learning Lesson.
About 12 Months ago, when we were really trying to grow our residential electrical offering locally in the snowy valleys we had a fantastic learning experience.
If you walk into a house that has been riddled with DIY electrical work (extension leads punched through ceilings etc;). Just walk right on back out.
Who would have thought that 12 months later these wonderful customers still haven't paid. at a time when we were trying to grow a service offering, they very promptly threatened to leave a terrible review and take to social media if we chased payment. unfortunately, DIY work and non-Payers are far too prevalent in the Residential area, hence us no longer offering those services.
I'm amazed often the people we have to say "you can't do that" too
What do you think, now that it doesn't matter so much, should we name and shame? 😉 it's a pretty minor sum in the scheme of things. but you have to consider, wages, insurance and other expenses are paid on the time it takes to do this work.
