Chelsea commenced her DoH Traineeship in Certificate III in Pathology Assistance in December 2025 and successfully completed it in just 9 months, finishing in August 2026.

Her hard work was recognised when she was offered a casual position with DoH before even completing her traineeship. She has also been accepted into UniSQ Ipswich to study a Bachelor of Paramedicine in 2027.

Most recently, Chelsea was nominated by her teacher for the 2026 Youth Achievement Awards and took home the Young Trainee/Employee Award!

Her Supervising Scientist, Shay Bosworth, shared:
“Chelsea is an incredibly quick learner, super dependable and friendly. She has worked incredibly hard and has helped us tremendously throughout the year. We’re grateful she chose to complete her traineeship with us, and we’re thrilled to have employed her casually after completing it.”

From Deadly Start to Cadetship!

We’re proud to celebrate Aliyah, who has continued her journey in health after completing our Deadly Start Trainee Program in 2025.
After successfully completing the program, Aliyah has now taken the next step in her career journey, securing a Cadetship with Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service on Thursday Island.

Terry's Employment Progress

This photo was taken on the 24 of July, Terry was progressing well in his role as an adult trainee with Vinnies Australia in Townsville 📍

At the time, Terry was building confidence, developing new workplace skills, and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the community services sector. 💙

He was showing a positive attitude, taking on new responsibilities, and growing in confidence within his role.
