Here’s a question for —should a player be exempt from trailing for a rep or Coates league squad if they’re currently injured, in another squad or away?

Another case could be an injured player—say, someone in a full leg cast, or had an ACL repair — who is selected purely based on their past rep experience or perceived ability, gets straight in without having to trial at all.
Should all players, regardless of their situation, have to trial like everyone else?
Should injured players get an exemption, or should it be a hard rule—if you don’t trial, you don’t get picked?
What about father sons, do they get preferential treatment and is that fair?
What about the Diversity & Equity rule associated with the Coates league should those players get guaranteed slots?
Do you think the Coates league selections for U16's & U18's is fair?

Sunbury Lions Football Club & Keilor Football Club went at it on Saturday the 9th March during the heat.
The U18's played two quarters and the Reserves two Quarters.

Is Charlie Cameron's tactic of targetting the ribs in the spirit of the game?
Consider this: Under classifiable offences - Charging and Rough Conduct.
Should he be sighted for "potential to cause injury for body contact"
The MRO now has the discretion to grade contact as Body contact rather than high contct where the body impact would result in a more significant sanction.
If it was once pfft but it isnt and it is IMO:
Conduct - intentional (no eyes on the ball and clearly focused on the player)
Impact - High
Contact - Body
Sanction - 1-2 matches
Charlie is too good a player to be doing this!

What are your thoughts?

This week the AFL announced :
All Australian rules football competitions at all ages (i.e. adult/open competitions and all junior competitions outside of the professional level), will adopt a mandatory minimum 21-day return to play protocol.
This new protocol will apply for State Football competitions (including the VFL and VFLW), elite pathway competitions (including the Coates Talent League) and all community football comps.
Under the new community guidelines, the earliest that a player can return to play after a concussion is on the 21st day after the day on which the concussion was sustained and provided that the player has safely progressed through each phase of the return-to-play program.
