It's the last full week of June, and we're checking in.

If this month has felt heavy, you're not alone. A lot of the healthcare and community sector workforce is running hard right now, with high caseloads, system pressures and not enough hours in the day.

Giving yourself permission to rest and switch off after a shift is not a weakness. It's how you stay in the game long term!

At Healthii People Australia, we specialise in five core sectors across the healthcare and community space. Here's a quick look at what we do:

Allied Health: Connecting physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and more with roles across Australia.

Community Services & Disability: Supporting NDIS providers and community organisations with passionate, skilled support workers and coordinators.

Aged Care: Matching aged care professionals with organisations that are committed to quality, person-centred care.

Social Work & Psychology: Finding the right fit for social workers, psychologists and counsellors in both public and private settings.

International: Helping internationally trained healthcare professionals navigate pathways into the Australian market.

There's absolutely nothing that beats hearing this kind of great feedback from teams we've helped.

A huge thank you to a recently placed candidate, an internationally qualified physiotherapist who made the move from the UK to Australia, for these kind words about working with Rachel Gilmour

Our people first approach is always at the forefront of our focus, and getting feedback like this shows that we're making a real difference.

The 15th to the 21st of June marks the start of Men's Health Week, and this year's theme is refreshingly simple: see your GP.

So many men carry their problems with them quietly. The pressure to provide and to hold it together, to be the steady one at work and at home. This week is your reminder that saying "I'm fine," isn't a health check. And that the strongest most dependable men are often the least likely to mention things which have been bothering them.

This week is a good reason to change that. A regular check-up, even when you feel okay. A real conversation about how you're doing, how you're feeling, and any concerns you've been putting off. The smaller issues are so much easier to deal with before they grow.

It's a small thing, and it's genuinely worth it. When did you last book a visit to your GP?

Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, and this year's theme is Beyond Age.

In Australia, nearly 15% of people aged 65 and over have experienced at least one form of elder abuse in the past year. That's not a small number. And for many, it goes unreported.

Abuse can take many forms: financial, emotional, physical, or simply neglect. Recognising it, naming it and knowing how to respond is something everyone in aged care and community services needs to feel confident about.

This Mental Health Monday, we're thinking about the older Australians in our communities who deserve to be treated with dignity, and the workers who show up every day to make sure they are.

Wear purple today if you can. And share this to keep the conversation going.

Happy Mental Health Monday!
This week we're talking about movement.

Healthcare is busy. Long shifts, back to back patients, barely time to breathe. There's a rush and business that is uniquely busy when working in health. That's why our best recommendations include; a short walk between tasks, a quick stretch, or two minutes of fresh air that could really help you reset and go again.

Find one small moment to move today and get that mental clarity you need!

What's happening in Australia's healthcare workforce right now?

Demand for allied health professionals continues to grow, particularly in community-based and NDIS-funded services. Aged care reforms are reshaping how organisations recruit and retain staff, and psychology wait times across the country are driving increased demand for both private and public sector roles.

For candidates, this means more opportunity. For employers, it means the competition for good people is as strong as ever.

At Healthii People, we stay close to what's moving in the market so we can connect the right people at the right time.
