A high profile 48m private MY is on the search for a Bosun to join their professional team.
The vessel is owned by a well-established superyacht owner with a solid long-term crew.
The vessel maintains a base in Sydney for most of the year with winters away on the Gold Coast (yard) and Whitsundays (short trip)
Whilst in the yard the crew enjoy living off the yacht and are put up in a luxury beach house at Broadbeach
The Bosun will lead on deck, managing a deckhand and working under an experienced chief officer, who is happy to sign off task books for both MCA & AMSA alike.
The Bosun is encouraged to work on tickets and must be serious about progressing their yacht career
The Bosun can live on or off the yacht but must take part in the rotating watch schedule.
The vessel is open to crew visiting Australia on working holiday visas and has the opportunity to sponsor the crew member to stay in Australia ongoing.

The Ideal Candidate
• A few years experience on Superyachts
• Lead deck time preferred
• Master 200gt / yachtmaster (or wishing to get within 6-12 months)
• Time overseas favourable
• Polished, professional, well presented
• Strong understanding of yacht maintenance / products
• Bridge time
• Can lead and train the deckhand
• Good tender driving experience
• STCW/Seafarer medical

The Opportunity

Candidate Requirements
We are seeking a confident and capable stewardess who can lead by example and contribute positively to both the interior team and overall crew dynamic.

Ideal candidates will possess:
• Previous experience as a 2nd Stewardess on a similar-sized yacht preferred
• Strong housekeeping, laundry, and guest service skills
• Confidence in silver service, cocktail preparation, and guest interaction
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently when required
• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and support junior crew members
• Adaptability and flexibility within a dynamic world-cruising program
• Strong communication skills and a positive team-focused approach
• A personable nature, good sense of humour, and the ability to integrate into a close-knit crew environment
• STCW, Seafarer Medical, Valid Passport

The vessel is only a few years old and has been well maintained, however the owner is wanting to step back and enjoy his asset as it begins a travelling program.
Joining in Brisbane the captain will take the vessel to Hamilton Island where it will be based for the season.
Trips will consist of relaxed owner excursions with a few couples (sometimes just Mr & Mrs) or laid-back fishing trips with friends.
The captain will liveaboard or may have the opportunity to stay in the family’s waterfront air bnb on Hamilton Island when not occupied
Itinerary for the next 2 years will include Hamo, Brisbane, Cairns, Tasmania and the South Pacific Islands.
The captain is the only fulltime crew member, therefore should be comfortable with washdowns / detailing and basic engineering, utilising casuals for deliveries.
The owner largely manages themselves onboard with food and service, although the captain should assist with basic interior tidying / dishes and maintaining a clean environment

The Housekeepers will be working with our Building Manager and chef, and in charge of the internals of the house. The position will include such duties as:
Changing of beds weekly
Changing of towels
Cleaning of bathrooms
Vacuuming and mopping
Dusting
Cleaning all kitchen surfaces, appliances, glassware and organising drawers / shelves
Follow procedures in the kitchen for the Gluten and Gluten Free areas
Support the chef with any queries they have and guide them on how to look after their space at the end of each shift
Some Laundry
Ironing
Organisation of linen and manage re-stocking when necessary
Outdoor furniture preparation every Friday for the weekend
Deep clean of draws, shelves, wardrobes and fixtures and fittings etc. on monthly/bi-annual/annual rotation
Assisting with any event preparations
Reporting any maintenance issues to the Building Manager
Receiving any deliveries
Managing re-stocking lists
The position will include some training from a senior Housekeeper, particularly on the care of specialized materials and fabrics

The owner has several yachts 25-40m and the chief stewardess will sometimes assist across the fleet.
The position is preferably live onboard, own cabin and close walking distance to great cafes, gyms & pubs.
