My client is one of Australia's largest suppliers to the mining, infrastructure and oil and gas markets.

They are an employer of choice to work for and are now seeking to recruit several CNC Machinists based out of Sydney's lower north shore.

POSITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

As the companies CNC Machinist, your role will involve;

As the companies CNC Machinist-

Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Ensuring all work packs are accurate and meet the customers need whilst achieving the necessary profitability targets
Advising support staff of orders that will not meet customer promised date
Actively assist in safety and continuous improvement programmes.
Ensure any defective materials are quarantined for a non-conformance report to be generated
Labelling of materials and jobs for clear and accurate identification
Ensure that workstations and material locations are clean and orderly and that all tools are put away and secured as per 5S principles
CANDIDATE

The successful candidate for this position will have;

Technical expertise as a CNC machinist by trade
Trade qualification in Machining
A minimum of three (3) years experience in manual and CNC machine operation
Have good communication skills
Be Physically fit and reliable
Experience with 5S principles and LEAN Initiatives will be highly regarded
BENEFITS

The successful candidate for this position will receive an option of pay

Option1. $34.88 per hour + Permanent full-time

Option 2. Ongoing casual and get 25% loading on top of $34.88 to equate $43.61 per hour. With this option its is still-full time ongoing hours, overtime involved and consistent days etc all the benefits of full-time work except for annual & sick leave.

There are two shifts to choose from 6am - 2pm OR 2pm-10pm.

Role and Responsibilities

Preparing vessels for application of lining by scraping, or painting interior surfaces and ensuring that sandblasting has been completed appropriately.
Application of rubber products to required vessels
Report back to management about any issues or concerns that arise regarding the application
Test lining for holes and faulty seams
You will be required to visit remote mine sites to install linings, often at short notice and on rare occasions for extended periods.
Willing to work reasonable amounts of overtime on both weekdays and weekends as required to service customer requirements.
Ensure the rubber lining process is effective and safe
Maintain all rubber lining and company equipment in safe and working condition
Ensure that materials are stored and used in a safe and appropriate manner
Train new and existing staff to ensure that staff have the knowledge and ability to perform their roles
