Maurice, una vita passata a studiare. Non che mi sia sempre venuto facile. Tutt’altro. Mi ritrovo a studiare Scienze Internazionali. - - - - - - - - Maurice, a life spent studying. It has not always been my cup of tea. During middle school it was terribly easy but, in middle school, there’s an inner genius in each one of us. High school. Better forgetting: five years of praying for not failing. The typical guy born and raised in the street to join a formal lyceum: just like a hooligan attending an ‘expressionism seminar’. I survived eventually. Choosing Uni was hard and in general to understand what to do after high school is always a puzzle: too young to have clarity, old enough having to take a decision. The first attempt wasn’t lucky: I picked tourism probably for my love for travelling. One day I thought: ‘maybe mine is not love for travelling but love for the world and all the mechanisms that make it work’. That vision was a success and a moment of clarity: I had just enrolled in a Bachelor of International Sciences. After that a Master’s Degree in Australia. And here I am. I have been all the kinds of student: from the typical smart-ass ‘who’s good but doesn’t put effort into it’ to the inadequate student that always needs to catch up. SBS Italian has defined me ‘mister know-it-all of the young community in Australia’ (https://www.sbs.com.au/yourlanguage/node/1639752?language=ar) but reality is just that I can always see a shade of myself in each one of you and give the best advise as if I was giving it to myself.
