Why do earthquakes happen? Can they be predicted? What are some of the world's biggest earthquakes, and what mysteries still puzzle scientists today?

It's a fascinating topic with plenty of opportunities to learn new vocabulary, share opinions, ask questions, and build confidence speaking English in a friendly environment.

We’re planning our first in-person get together for 2026 in Sydney on Saturday 18th April at 10am at the Australian Rockery Lawn 2A Macquarie St, Sydney which is just around the corner from the Opera House.
This will be a relaxed, friendly catch-up — a chance to practise your English face-to-face, meet others from the group, and just enjoy real conversations in a supportive space.
