APG Workforce is currently seeking an experienced Treatment Plant Operator to join Bundaberg Regional Council in a hands-on role supporting the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a 6-month government contract with the potential for extension, working a 9-day fortnight and contributing to essential water and wastewater services for the local community.

What's on Offer
Pay Rate: $46.71 Per Hour + Super
6-month government contract with possible extension

76 hours per fortnight

On-site role commencing from Council's East Depot

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and operate mechanical and electrical treatment plant equipment
Perform chemical dosing and adjust treatment processes as required
Conduct routine water and wastewater sampling and testing
Operate and monitor SCADA systems
Maintain accurate operational records, plant readings and test results
Identify, troubleshoot and report operational issues
Support the safe and efficient operation of treatment facilities

To Be Successful You Will Have
Experience operating water or wastewater treatment plants
Understanding of treatment processes and plant operations
Experience using SCADA systems and monitoring equipment
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage asphalt road construction and maintenance projects

Conduct site inspections and monitor safety performance

About You

Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline

Current driver's licence

• Investigate and resolve Time & Attendance discrepancies
• Interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements to ensure correct employee payments
• Process manual attendance adjustments, allowances and leave payments
• Provide timely and accurate support for T&A enquiries
• Assist with training supervisors and managers in the effective use of the Kronos system

About You

• Previous experience in Payroll, Time & Attendance, or Finance Administration
• Experience using Kronos or similar workforce management systems highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Understanding of Awards and Enterprise Agreements preferred
