Toll People are presently seeking applicants for this permanent Inventory Officer's role for our business partner Global Express. The purpose of the Inventory Officer role is to provide all the parts and administration functions required for the efficient operation of the GE Equipment Workshop, to locate and order parts, book out parts and ensure stock is held between minimum and maximum quantities at all times.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for;
Store inventory, its safe and efficient storage, and security.
Ordering parts at a cost effective price, ensuring quality is not substituted for price.
Parts received, Invoice and Job Card processing.
Answering the telephone, handling enquiries and relaying messages.
Word processing.
Ensure parts, tools and PPE are not removed from the store without the appropriate record being created.
Picking up parts and delivery of parts as required.
Ensure all records are kept and well documented.
Minimise obsolete stock.
Ensure all major expenditure is approved before purchase.
To maintain quality and urgency in the work performed.
General clerical duties and assistance as required.
Miscellaneous functions as requested by the Parts Supervisor (if applicable)
Reporting of hazards in the workplace, and within defined levels of authority, addressing these hazards in an appropriate manner.
As the successful candidate, you will also be a great team player, have high attention-to-detail, hold a current counter balance forklift licence (LF), be competent with Microsoft Office and be extremely safety conscious.
