March has seen employers in the Public Accounting Sector more willing to look at and hire unemployed job seekers.

This could be in part to do with the advantages of an immediate commencement of employment as employers ramp up for the forthcoming work load but also as a result of some higher calibre candidates being available in early March.

We are seeing an increased degree of job dissatisfaction with employees, however Job Seekers who are employed are showing signs of being more selective in their next move.

March has seen employers in the Public Accounting Sector more willing to look at and hire unemployed job seekers.

Employers have been cautious this month. Some larger accounting firms are starting to see a bottleneck of employees as retention levels reach record highs.

This is particularly evident at the Senior to High-Senior Accountant Level and we have seen some redundancies at this level to allow fresh blood through the ranks.

Smaller firms have capitalised on this talent being in the market and have been able to attract candidates they may not have otherwise been able to attract.
