We are seeking a Clinical Governance Lead with a strong clinical or health related background and relevant qualifications to join the team of this highly regarded health care provider located in the Southern suburbs of Melbourne. The purpose of this position is to work with the COVID leadership team, program managers/project leads, and relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to OH&S, risk management and IPAC systems and processes and continuous improvement activities.
You will conduct regular site visits to all COVID Health Hubs, Mobile Testing sites to monitor clinical governance, infection prevention and control (IPAC) and risk management practices. Coordinate an audit program to monitor IPAC, risk management and clinical governance to inform continuous improvement activities.

CSSD Technician Profile:
Key areas of focus for this role:

Providing a safe and effective service in sterilisation and disinfection processes of reusable medical devices
Appropriate use of resources, including prioritisation of work load to meet customer demands
Focusing on delivering results that reflect the high expectations of the team
Ensuring the maintenance and understanding of the Australian Standard (ASNZS 4187)
Delivering excellent technical skills within the Sterilisation Department
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support the daily operations and service delivery
Participating in the development and implementation of the department quality activities
Adhere to the principles of Infection Control and OH&S to maintain a safe environment
To be successful in the role you will possess:

Certificate 3 in Sterilisation
Technical experience in hospital sterilising services with a high degree of autonomy and accountability
Sound awareness of ASNZS 4187
Experience in working in Endoscopy and operating theatre settings
Understanding of Infection Control principles and OH&S safety practices
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
The flexibility to work rotating shifts across a seven day roster
