After weeks of creativity, community voting, and some very close competition, it's finally time to announce the winner of the Category 5 Art Competition!
This year, St Luke's College Karratha and Karratha Senior High School were challenged to create an artwork inspired by the theme:
"What does Karratha mean to you?"
Votes were collected at the shopping centre, at the Category 5 office and online via Facebook. After tallying every vote, we can reveal that the winning artwork is...
"View from the Hill" by St Luke's College!
Congratulations to the talented Year 9 students who collaborated to create this beautiful piece. Your artwork captured the hearts of our community and earned enough votes to take out this year's title.
As the winners, St Luke's College will receive $1,000 for their school.
A huge congratulations also goes to Karratha Senior High School, whose incredible artwork "Home" was a worthy runner-up. The school will receive $500 in recognition of their outstanding effort.
What made this competition even more exciting was just how close it was:
