NEW RELEASE: Student Masterclasses & Teacher Professional Development Classes

Hospitality Group Training is excited to announce the release of our Student Masterclasses and Teacher Professional Development classes through the Chef Ambassador Program!

For students, our masterclasses are an opportunity to explore the world of culinary learning and fuel their interest in hospitality.

For teachers and hospitality educators, our professional development classes offer expert-led training with WA’s Chef Ambassador, Kiren Mainwaring. Explore contemporary cooking methods, sharpen your skills and discover fresh ideas to inspire your students.

Teacher professional development classes available:
• Modern Cookery Techniques
• Culinary Presentation
• Proficient Protein Cookery
• Australian Native Cookery

Explore techniques including sous vide, molecular gastronomy, innovative flavour pairing, precision plating and advanced knife skills, while building confidence and professional kitchen expertise.

CHEF AMBASSADOR PROGRAM – TERM 3

What an incredible Term 3 for the Chef Ambassador Program, delivered by Hospitality Group Training with Chef Ambassador Kiren Mainwaring!

Term 3 has been our biggest and most exciting term yet, reaching more students and schools across Western Australia and creating valuable connections between education and the hospitality industry.

The program visited regional Western Australia, with visits to the Goldfields and and for the first time Esperance. Taking the program to regional and remote communities has been a fantastic opportunity to connect with students who may not otherwise have the same access to industry experiences and career pathways.

From hands-on cooking experiences and modern culinary techniques to conversations about apprenticeships, careers and opportunities within hospitality, the program continues to inspire the next generation of chefs.

A huge thank you to all the schools, teachers and students who welcomed us throughout Term 3. Your enthusiasm, participation and feedback have been incredible.

On 26 August 2026, we celebrated the HGT Annual Awards at RAC Arena, bringing together more than 170 guests from across the hospitality industry, including industry representatives, schools, parents, apprentices and employers.

It was a wonderful opportunity to come together and recognise the hard work, dedication, talent and achievements of our apprentices and trainees. 👏✨
