Painter/Blaster job in Maddington.
Pay Rate - Commensurate with experience
There's 3 months of work to do to start with. Ultimately my client is looking for a PERMANENT staff member but asked as to act as their external HR department to save their time.
After 3 months as a casual doing 'full time hours', they can approach you and put you on the team full time. They are big enough for good career progression !.
Surface Preparation:
Using abrasive blasting techniques, the applicator removes rust, corrosion, old coatings, and other contaminants from industrial surfaces to prepare them for painting.
Coating Application:
Applying Industrial protective coatings using various methods such as conventional, airless, and plural spray systems, ensuring the coats meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
The role involves operating specialized equipment, including high-pressure air blasters and various spray guns, as well as performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper function.
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
Applicators must work safely, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to stringent health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste.
Technical Specification Adherence:
Interpret technical specifications and workshop drawings to ensure that the type of coating, its consistency, colour, and the application process are all performed correctly and to industry standards.
*Although EXPERIENCE IS KING, holding relevant certifications, such as those outlined in a Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application, will be highly regarded. Also Highly regarded will be a Confined spaces and Working at Heights.
