Berwick Grammar School Alumni Careers Breakfast Six years later the first of Berwick Grammar School’s Year 12 boys completed their final year at school.

Berwick Grammar School was established in 2009 to specifically meet the educational needs of boys and to maximise opportunities for boys in terms of learning experiences, state-of-the-art facilities and extra–curricular programs. Much of what the boys have valued about Berwick Grammar School such as the friendships they have made and relationships shared with those in the school community we still

be enjoyed and extended through the BGS Alumni network. The Berwick Grammar Alumni has been recently created to remind boys their connection with the school does not end once they complete their secondary school education. It provides a vital link for former students to maintain and renew friendships with each other and to organise a range of enjoyable social activities. Benefits may include a forum to maintain connections to the school through year level reunions and social activities. The renewing of friendships while developing networks, celebrating and highlighting life achievements. Every past student of the school is a valued member of the community and we will endeavour to ensure they are informed about news, events and benefits.

Two of our students from the Class of 2025, Mr Will Emmins and Mr Jack Whitney, are in the process of launching Brotherhood.

Brotherhood is looking to become a pioneer in the young men's mental health space in Australia, focusing on fostering a community of peer support and they are seeking crowdfunding support via Kickstarter.

The project originated from a classroom discussion about mental health that inspired them both. As young men they have seen the impact of poor mental health on fellow young men, this is an issue that hits close to home for them.

I hope 2026 has started off on a positive note for you all! I spoke with Mr Dunstan last week and we are working towards finding a date for the old boys cricket match later this term. Also, the school is looking at strengthening the alumni network. Details are in the picture.

You may or may not be aware that Dr Middleton is concluding his tenure as Associate Principal at the end of this year. He has been appointed to the position of Principal of Pittwater House in Collaroy in NSW and will commence his new role in 2026. To celebrate his contribution to our school you are welcome to attend the farewell events that are being organised. Here is the link to register. Sorry for not updating you but have been looking after my wife at home and hospital during her illness. There will still be an Old Boys basketball match in Term 4 details will follow. Also you are all invited to a farewell to the Doc who is leaving BGS at the end of the year. He has been appointed to be Principal of Pittwater House in NSW. Details of this function will follow.

Old Boys V Current Students Cricket Match
Friday 14th March starting at 3 30pm
We have run this annual event for the past 9 years and really want to keep it going. We need to start earlier to make it a proper match. A number of the older old boys now work further away and cant get to BGS until 4 30 pm so we need to rely on our younger old boys to make up the majority of the team. If you can play and be there by 3 30 pm please email Fossil on [email protected]

All Old Boys are always welcome to play but we need to start earlier. We will meet at the Pink afterwards so even if you cant make the match call in to reconnect with past students and teachers. Please let me know if you would like to play. Fossil
