Our story starts in a family - our Founderās family. Lawrence never felt lack as his mother, lovingly known to many as Nana Lou, ensured that he and his sisters had the same opportunities as other children in their community.
As Lawrence ventured into adulthood and decided to move to Australia, he saw it as a chance to seek out new opportunities for himself, his family, and his mother and siblings. However, it wasnāt easy for Nan Lou to find work in her field of social work and community services, despite her qualifications and experience. Instead of seeing this as a setback, Lawrence saw it as an opportunity to not only help his mother but also to fill a gap in the industry.
By creating a Labour Hire organization, several important things were achieved:
Firstly, Nan Lou was able to showcase her exceptional caregiving skills as part of a casual workforce.
Secondly, Lawrence, being a Samoan boy raised in NZ, and his like-minded friends were able to demonstrate the importance of family in an industry where that understanding was lacking
And finally, opportunities were created for individuals who possessed a natural ability to care for and support young people, even if they didnāt have all the required qualifications.
