Monash Association of Debaters Boasting over 500 members and back to back to back World Championships, the MAD is one of the largest and most successful debating societies in the world.

The Monash Association of Debaters is one of the most active clubs on the Clayton campus of Monash University. For over 50 years MAD has trained generations of students in public speaking and debating. Every year we send contingents to tournaments throughout Australia and across the world. For our members we offer training geared at all levels, fantastic social events, internal and external compet

itions, paid employment as school coaches and adjudicators and sponsorship to attend tournaments globally.

Been wanting to try debating for a while? Want to see what MAD is all about? Or someone who is hungry for some trivia? Join us for our inaugural trivia night, food and some spars! We promise that it will be a night full of fun, laughter and of course some debating 😉. This is a free event for all. If you want to join in on the fun debate festivities afterwards, make sure to join MAD 😁. We hope to see you there!!
