Our third installment of BDK's meet the team is BDK's Managing Director Kelly.
Kelly has been running BDK Labour Hire for the past 10 years and brings more than 20 years of experience in business and marketing solutions. Before returning to Australia, she spent many years working overseas with multinational companies in the USA and Italy, building strong skills in leadership, management, freight forwarding and logistics.
After coming home to Australia as a new mum, Kelly joined forces with her own mum Diane and brother Bryan to help grow a young container unloading business, hence the name BDK (Bryan, Diane and Kelly) Back then, BDK was a very different operation — one manager, a team of 6 staff, and just a single client.
When BDK’s founder Diane, passed away suddenly in 2012, BDK truly became a labour of love for Kelly. Fast forward to today, BDK has grown into a thriving business with a management team of 6, more than 100 staff, and over a dozen clients. Kelly is incredibly proud of how far the company has come and the amazing team who helped make it happen over the years.
When she’s not keeping things running smoothly in the background, Kelly is usually at the gym or busy driving her daughters to their many activities. She’s also a self-confessed coffee lover and loves organising events, her favourite pasttime is enjoying a wine and cooking up a feast for family and friends and excelling her culinary skills.
