Last week, we hosted the first Care Technology Circle roundtable in Melbourne, bringing together leaders across the care and technology sectors for an open, peer-level conversation.

The session focused on the role of AI in care technology, with participants sharing both successes and challenges they are currently navigating. From practical implementation experiences to governance, regulation, and ethical considerations, the discussion highlighted just how important collaboration and knowledge sharing are as the sector evolves.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed so openly to the conversation. These roundtables are designed to create a trusted environment where peers can exchange real experiences, lessons learned, and practical approaches to common challenges.

We are also grateful to Anna Gelling, CTO at Hireup, for helping shape and facilitate such a valuable discussion.

This is just the beginning for the Care Technology Circle, and we are looking forward to continuing the conversation with this growing community.

🎉 Celebrating the Best of Emmbr in 2025! 🎉

This year brought significant change across our business. New priorities, evolving ways of working, and plenty of moments that tested us. Add to that a market full of ups and downs, shifting demand, uncertainty, and renewed momentum at unexpected times.

What stood out was our people. The team continued to support each other, adapt quickly, and deliver for our candidates, clients, and partners. That effort is what allowed us to finish the year in a strong position.

That is exactly why the Emmbry Awards are so important to us. We run them every year to recognise the people who made a massive impact. And in a year like this, those contributions meant even more.

A few weeks ago, we celebrated the well-earned promotion of our new General Manager, congratulations to Harry Strudley!

Harry started at Emmbr as a Recruitment Consultant in the software development space. He went on to build out our Technology Engineering & Products teams as Director, and now heads up a diverse group of consultants and delivery partners, all focused on helping candidates take the next step in their careers and building high-performing tech teams for our clients.

🚴‍♂️ Before recruitment, Harry was one of the UK’s top junior cyclists, before trading racing for a Sports Science degree and a career kick-off at Thomas International, where he worked with organisations to unlock team potential through psychometric insights.

✈️ With stamps from over 45 countries in his passport, Harry brings a global perspective, a people-first mindset, and the same determination that has fueled every stage of his career.

Now based in Australia, Harry’s leading with empathy, shaking up recruitment, but spending more time on the golf course than in the saddle.

Ohhh this is a bittersweet moment…

Today marks our beloved m’Emmbr - Christine Hubble’s 13 amazing years at Emmbr and…
at the same time, preparing to say farewell as she steps into a well-earned retirement.

Christine’s contribution goes far beyond her role. Over the past decade, she has been a true force for good, consistently championing others and leaving a lasting impact across the tech and leadership community.

She was instrumental in founding the Peak community, a space dedicated to supporting and elevating women in leadership roles. Through her vision and effort, many women found mentorship, connection, and a renewed sense of confidence in their careers.

Christine also played a pivotal role in connecting tech leaders across the market, helping them navigate career transitions, develop new skills, and reach their potential. Her deep care for people’s growth, both personally and professionally, has inspired everyone lucky enough to work with her.

Christine, your energy, generosity, and legacy will live on long after your final day. Thank you for 13 years of excellence, empathy, impact, and lots of ginger cakes!
