That is the Commonwealth coat of arms. The old coating is coming off it with light, and the metal underneath is not touched.

Some trades build things. This one brings them back. The same crew have worked on the Australian-American Memorial, Western Sydney Airport, and the dish at Parkes.

We are looking for one or two people to learn it, in Sydney and surrounds, and we would especially like to hear from you ex Defence guys because this role is full of purpose.

As a Laser Ablation Technician you strip rust, paint and coatings off steel and infrastructure. No trade qualification needed. All training, laser safety certification and PPE provided.

This is a Sydney based role with some interstate travel, including a stretch of work up in QLD. We need you to have a driver's licence, manual preferred, be happy to travel and serious about safety around high powered equipment.

$46 to $53 an hour depending on city and experience.
5 weeks annual leave on the Brisbane roster.

Our client wants leaders who came up through a RAEME trade. You will run the technician team, the parts store and the day to day of the workshop.

FTA is looking for someone who left service with strong process and compliance discipline and has since applied it in a civilian environment. Civil construction experience is a bonus, but strong coordination and OH&S backgrounds from other sectors will be considered.
