πŸ’‘ Great ideas don't always come from the top.

One of the most inspiring messages in today's article is that managers don't have to solve every business challenge on their own. Often, the people closest to the work have the insights needed to solve problems and create new opportunities. 🌱

When leaders empower their employees, business challenges can become opportunities for growth and profit.

πŸ’ Who could you involve in solving a challenge you're facing today?

We were proud to attend the AHRI National Convention 2026, where Gen Tope from Drake Workforce Solutions and Holly Hunter from the Drake WellbeingHub joined industry leaders to explore the future of work, people and performance.

While AI featured prominently throughout the conference, the discussion wasn't about replacing people with technology. It was about how AI can help redesign work, reduce cognitive burden and create space for higher-value thinking, creativity and human connection.
There was also considerable discussion around the psychosocial impacts of AI, including job insecurity, uncertainty and the responsibility leaders have to build trust and psychological safety throughout transformation.

For our team, these conversations strongly resonated with the perspective recently shared by our Global CEO Karen Meredith, who noted that while AI will transform industries, organisations must continue to invest in what makes people exceptional and how they contribute to business success.

As organisations rethink workforce structures, skills and leadership capability, the challenge is not simply adopting AI. It's ensuring people remain at the centre of the future of work. Organisations are now asking how to build the workforce, leadership capability and organisational resilience needed to thrive in an AI-enabled future. That's where talent management becomes a strategic advantage.

πŸ’Ό HR can be challenging for any business, but especially for small businesses with limited resources.

While much of the HR advice out there is aimed at large organizations, this article focuses on the questions that matter most for small business leaders. One of the most important is: Can your company handle compliance issues on its own? If not, it may be time to seek expert support. βœ”οΈ

πŸ’ Is your business equipped to manage HR compliance, or could outside expertise make all the difference?

Is AI changing your organisational culture without you even realising it?
AI is transforming more than productivity, it’s influencing how people communicate, make decisions, collaborate and lead.
For HR and People & Culture leaders, the challenge isn't just adopting AI, it's ensuring it strengthens, rather than unintentionally reshapes, your workplace culture.
Our HR Advisory team explores what every organisation should be thinking about as AI becomes part of everyday work.

πŸ’‘ What if we focused less on feedback and more on feed forward?

Marshall Goldsmith, one of the world's most renowned leadership coaches, encourages leaders to focus on what people can do more of in the future, rather than critiquing the past. After all, we can't change what's already happenedβ€”but we can influence what comes next. πŸš€

πŸ’ Think about some feedback you'd like to give someone. How could you reword it so it becomes feed forward instead?
