Weekly COVID-19 Update 23 September 2022
[NEW CASES]
There have been 3,037 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia in the past week.
[CASE UPDATE]
As of 11:59pm Thursday 22 September, there were 2,135 active cases in South Australia and 50 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including six in ICU.
Of those hospitalised, 32 people had received three or more vaccine doses, 14 people were either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and four had an unknown vaccination status.
There were 23 COVID-19 deaths notified in the past week, with the ages ranging from people in their sixties to people aged over 100, including two deaths in people aged under 70 years. Deaths may not have occurred in the week in which they were reported.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.
