If you want a breakthrough, take a break.

Burnout doesn't happen because you're weak.

It happens because you've been strong for too long.

Whether you're searching for a job, building a business, or simply trying to keep up with life's demands, don't underestimate the power of pressing pause.

This weekend, give yourself permission to refresh, relax and recharge.

Remember...

You can't reboot if the battery is flat.

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone.

How are you spending your weekend to recharge?

If you're job hunting without a daily routine, you're making life harder than it needs to be.

Don’t feel down. Get UP, get dressed and have a daily job search routine.

Something like this:

1. Wake up and have breakfast.

2. 30–60 minutes of exercise, followed by a shower and breakfast.

3. Head to your designated workspace at home.

4. Spend 90 minutes improving your resume and LinkedIn profile, or tailoring your resume with the right keywords for online applications (ATS).

5. Spend an hour on LinkedIn to increase your visibility—like, comment, share posts, and engage meaningfully with others.

6. Take a one-hour lunch break and spend time with your family.

7. Spend two hours searching for suitable roles on LinkedIn Jobs, Indeed, Otta and other job sites.

8. Dedicate an hour to learning something new through LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, Udemy or other platforms.

9. Go for a 30-minute walk and clear your mind.

10. Spend an hour preparing for interviews, write responses to competency-based questions, identify your transferable skills, and practice using the C.A.R.L. technique.

11. Finish the day with another 30–60 minutes of LinkedIn activity and networking.

As a job seeker, your job search is your full-time job until you find one.

Don't treat it like a hobby.

If you've recently been laid off, remember this:

You already have valuable skills.

You already have experience.

You already have something to offer.

Don't let a temporary setback stop you from showcasing what you're capable of.

What does your daily job search routine look like?

Interviews only show you a small slice of someone.

I've met candidates who interviewed brilliantly and struggled once they started the job.

I've also met candidates who stumbled over their words and went on to become outstanding employees.

An interview can't fully measure resilience.

It can't reveal work ethic.

It can't show how someone treats customers or supports their team.

Don't just hire the best interviewer. Hire the person with the greatest potential to succeed.

Do interviews actually reveal enough, or do we lean on them too much?

Stop applying for jobs without doing this first.

Here's a simple habit that could make a huge difference if you get called for an interview.

Before you click "Apply," copy the job description and save it in a folder alongside the version of your resume you submitted.

Why?

Because many job ads disappear within days or even hours.

Then, a week or two later, you get invited to an interview...
..and you can't remember exactly what the employer was looking for.

The job description is your roadmap.

It tells you:
✔️ What skills matter most.
✔️ What responsibilities they'll ask about.
✔️ What examples you should prepare.

The candidates who prepare well usually interview well.

Don't rely on memory.

Save the job description.

Your future self will thank you.

Have you ever been invited to an interview and couldn't remember the role you applied for?
