Welcome to the team, Anthony Liew!

Anthony recently came through our Skills & Development Centre as a mature-age participant looking to refresh his knowledge and skills.

Throughout the five-day program, Anthony really impressed us with his electrical hand skills, attitude and willingness to learn. He showed plenty of potential on the tools and, importantly, a real drive to keep developing.

The Skills Centre gives us a chance to see people in a practical environment — how they approach the work, how they learn and where their potential lies. For Anthony, what he demonstrated during the week opened the door to an opportunity with Impact Apprentices.

We’re very happy to now welcome him to the team and look forward to seeing him continue to grow on the tools.

We're growing!

We'd like to welcome five new faces to the Impact Apprentices team!

Amy, Georgia, Deon, Marios and Joshua, have joined us to commence or continue their electrical apprenticeships, and they'll play a key role in supporting our host employers to get the results they need on site.

As a Group Training Organisation, we're here to make sure every apprentice has the right support, training and opportunities they need to thrive, starting from day one.

Last Tuesday, we attended the Career Expo at Templestowe College!

It was such a good opportunity to meet and chat with students who are exploring their options for after school. We chatted through everything from how to land an apprenticeship to what it's really like working as an electrician day-to-day.

A big thank you to Templestowe College for having us, we love getting out and about to connect with the next generation of sparkies!

Huge congratulations to our August intake at the Skills Centre, who have successfully completed their workshop training!

Over the last week, this group has built the skills, confidence and hands-on experience to find out whether the electrical trade is where their calling lies. It's been great watching these future sparkies open up each day, growing more confident with their tools and with each other.

A massive thank you to our instructor Ian for another intake well done! We can't wait to see how these future sparkies' electrical apprenticeships unfold.

We seriously didn’t want to leave the Melbourne Career Expo!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, had a chat with the team, explored the Skills Centre, or learned more about what an electrical apprenticeship involves. Meeting so many enthusiastic school leavers, parents and career changers reminded us why we love what we do.

The energy, curiosity and excitement over the three days was incredible, and we're so grateful to have been part of it.

A special thank you to Melbourne Career Expo, Nicole Capper and the amazing team for putting together such a fantastic event. We already can't wait for next year!

Last weekend, we attended the Melbourne Career Expo, and it was three days well spent. We had the opportunity to connect with students, families, career changers, and industry professionals from across the sector.

Conversations like these matter. Meeting our community face to face lets us understand where people are at and how we can best support them, wherever they may be in their career journey.

We'd like to thank all the exhibitors, presenters, attendees, and families who gave their time so generously, and to acknowledge the Melbourne Career Expo team for delivering another excellent expo.

While the event has wrapped up, the conversations it sparked are far from over, they'll continue to shape the next steps for everyone we met, one apprenticeship at a time.

Jumping Jack! 🐇

Jack Jevic has recently joined the ever-growing number of apprentices at Impact, and we are confident that over the coming years, he will become another great success story.

With apprentice completions and host employer retention contributing to a 100% success rate so far this year, apprentices like Jack are a great reminder of why a selective recruitment process matters. When the right apprentice is matched with the right host employer, it creates lasting 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 across the board.
