Today is Day, and iCare Staffing is proud to stand with our community in support of LGBTQIA+ young people.
This year’s theme is Colours of Courage, celebrating the courage LGBTQIA+ young people, their allies and their communities show every day, in all its different forms (big and small!).
You can get involved too! Wear purple, and take a moment to learn what young people themselves say they need from the adults around them. Visibility matters: it’s often what tells a young person that a space is safe and inclusive.
At iCare, we believe every young person deserves to feel safe, respected, valued and connected and we see this first hand in the work we do in out-of-home care. For young people living away from family, being accepted by the adults around them isn’t a small thing. It’s often the difference between a house and a home.
