Predictable Answers: Candidates often deliver rehearsed responses, revealing little about their true fit for the role.​
Lack of Insight: This question doesn't assess the specific skills and experiences crucial for sales success.​

Relying on generic questions like these contributes to poor hiring decisions. In fact, 80% of employee turnover is due to bad hires according to nurturebox.ai.

Here's what to ask instead:
Shift to behavioural and situational questions that uncover a candidate's real potential:​

"Can you describe a time when you overcame a significant challenge to close a sale?"​
"How do you handle rejection, and can you provide an example?"​

These questions encourage candidates to share concrete examples, offering deeper insights into their competencies.​
