We're proud to have played a part in the first St Ferrer Impact Build 🏠💛

In just one day, an entire home in Melbourne’s north-eastern suburbs was transformed for Angelina and her family, with tradespeople, suppliers and project partners all coming together to make it happen.

Two JV labourers 🦺🦺 and 1 carpenter 🪚 joined the team on the day, helping deliver practical improvements to the property.

Staying connected with our workers means getting out on site, checking in and showing our support in practical ways.

Recently, Jess and Tyson cooked up a BBQ lunch for 250 people at a client site in Melbourne. It was a great opportunity to spend time with the team, have a chat and thank everyone for the work they do each day.

🇫🇷 France took the win. We still had a winning night. 🇦🇺🏉

On Saturday, Eddie Hayes and Lauren Sims from our JV Recruitment Queensland team hosted a group of clients for the Wallabies vs France clash at Suncorp Stadium.

The rugby delivered plenty of action, the atmosphere was electric, and the company was even better.

For us, nights like this are about more than the event itself. They’re an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, share a few laughs and spend time with the people we’re fortunate to work alongside.

Recruitment is a people business, and the strongest partnerships are built through trust, genuine connection and showing up beyond the usual emails, calls and meetings.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a memorable evening.

Some conversations stay with you long after the room has cleared...

Recently we hosted our JV 'Builders Network Lunch' in Melbourne, with guest presenter and AFL legend - James Hird.

Hirdy spoke openly about leadership, resilience, high performance and the responsibility that comes with being part of a team.

And while his stories came from the world of elite sport, the lessons translated clearly to business, construction and recruitment.

The biggest reminder?

People are everything.

Whether you’re leading an AFL club, running a construction business, managing a site or building a recruitment team, culture doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built through trust, standards, support and the people you surround yourself with.

Hirdy shared stories from his time playing under Kevin Sheedy, including the expectation that every player signed every fan’s autograph after training - whether 10 people were waiting, or 100.

A simple but powerful example of humility, discipline and never forgetting who you represent.

He also spoke candidly about some of the darkest periods in his life, including the impact of the Essendon drug scandal and the time he spent in care afterwards. It was a raw reminder that leadership is not just about success, performance and results. It’s also about resilience, vulnerability and having the right people around you when things are at their hardest.

One message that really stood out was the importance of supporting people to make their own decisions, while building a team that genuinely buys into the end goal.

That’s true in sport.
It’s true in business.
And it’s true in recruitment.

For us, it was a strong reminder of why we strive to deliver hashtag . Not just outcomes, but the people, culture, standards and support that make those outcomes possible.

20+ obstacles. 15 kilometres. Plenty of mud. 🥾💦

At the start of 2026, our JV Recruitment Brisbane team challenged themselves to take on Tough Mudder Australia together.

So last weekend, Eddie Hayes, Brian Feeney, Lewis Jackson and Bradley Spink did exactly that, with plenty of encouragement from our JV mascot, Rua, on the sidelines. 🐾

This time it wasn't a work event or a fundraising initiative - just a team setting a goal, committing to it, and seeing it through together. Challenges like these have a funny way of reflecting what great teams look like every day.

Last week, the leadership teams from JV Recruitment and JV Traffic stepped away from the day-to-day for our annual leadership offsite in the sunny Gold Coast!

🤔 We reflected on the past year - what worked, what didn't, and where we can continue to improve.
📊 We reviewed our 1-3 year plan, challenged our thinking, and put actions in place to ensure we're actually doing what we say we'll do.
🎯 We also spent time setting both business and personal goals, because great outcomes at work start with great people.

A big thank you to Laura Cole for facilitating the session and helping guide some robust discussions. 🙌

The conversations have already translated into action, with initiatives now being embedded across the business as we continue to deliver for our clients, candidates, our field workers, our staff and our partnerships.

💪 The JV Recruitment team is proud to be taking part in The Push-Up Challenge this month, to raise awareness and funds for mental health.

This year's challenge is supporting headspace, Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation, which provides early intervention mental health services to young people aged 12-25 through centres, schools, online support and community programs across the country.

Mental health is something that touches every workplace, every industry and every community - and hashtag is one of them sectors hardest hit.

That's why we're getting behind this important cause and doing our part to help create better mental health outcomes for young Australians.

We're just over half way to achieving our goal of $2k, so if you'd like to support the challenge, any donation - big or small - is greatly appreciated.
