So, how are you really? Today is RUOK Day and this year’s theme is all about asking ‘Are they REALLY OK?’

Maybe you’ve noticed a family member, friend or colleague not quite acting themselves. For too many, lockdown has hit hard and with so many in the same situation, a lot of people aren't always able to voice how they’re feeling.

Everyone copes differently, so if you’re noticing something isn’t quite right with someone you know, reach out and ask them ‘Are you REALLY OK?’

There’s some great resources that can help you open up the conversation. Visit ruok.org.au to access them – and remember, by genuinely asking the question, you really could change someone’s life.

Today is Remembrance Day. A significant day for Australian’s where we pay our respects during a one minute silence to those who died or suffered in wars and armed conflicts.

On 11 November, 1918, the guns of the Western Front finally fell silent after four years of continuous warfare, with over 60,000 Australians dead. Today we acknowledge those people, those who have served and all those who continue to serve our country.

It’s Legacy Week – an annual national appeal that raises awareness and funds for the families of our deceased and incapacitated Veterans.

Established in 1942, the funds raised by Legacy Week help to assist over 60,000 beneficiaries. This money provides much needed support with housing, counselling, medication, and social support – it also extends to nurturing children’s education with school fees, uniforms, books and recreational activities to build their confidence and self-development.

Legacy Week is always close to the hearts of Agri Veterans, a program that assists our returned servicemen and women find new careers, and you’ll see us wearing the iconic badges that will be for sale this week at thousands of locations across the country.
