🥋🏆 PILBARA REGIONAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 – WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY!🏆🥋

What an amazing day we had at the Pilbara Regional Karate Championships 2026 last Saturday!

We are very happy to say that this year’s Championships were a great success. Every competitor gave their best and demonstrated wonderful skill, determination, courage and karate spirit. 👊🥋

There were some fantastic and very close competitions throughout the day, which certainly made the judging a challenging task! We are incredibly proud of all our students who stepped onto the floor and gave it their all.

It was also wonderful to see so many families and friends enjoying the day, cheering on the competitors and creating such a positive and supportive atmosphere. Seeing the smiles on the faces of our students and parents made the day even more special. ❤️

We were very fortunate to welcome some special guests who travelled to Karratha to support our Championships.

Whether you took home a medal or not, having the courage to compete, challenge yourself and do your very best is an achievement to be proud of.

Just a friendly reminder that registration for the Pilbara Regional Karate Championships 2026 closes this Thursday, 15 October!

If your child would like to compete and you haven't registered yet, please make sure to complete their registration before the deadline.

📅 Championships: Saturday, 24 October 2026
📍 Karratha Leisureplex
💰 Registration Fee: $20 per competitor

🔸 Kihon – Yellow belts and below
🔸 Kata – All students
🔸 Kumite – Orange belts and above

Please remember that each competitor must be registered separately, including siblings.

We are very excited to announce that the Pilbara Regional Karate Championships for Karratha/Dampier/Wickham students are back again this year! 🎉

After the fantastic success of last year’s Championships, we are looking forward to another exciting day of karate, friendship and great competition!

The Championships are a wonderful opportunity for our students to demonstrate the skills they have been working so hard to develop, challenge themselves, gain competition experience and support their fellow karateka. 🥋💪

🥋 KARATE GRADING SUCCESS! 🥋

Congratulations to all of our students who recently participated in our karate grading! We are incredibly proud of everyone's hard work, determination, and positive attitude.

Our white belt students were examined by Carl Sensei on 24 June, where they had the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have been developing since beginning their karate journey.

We were also honoured to welcome Andrew Carey Sensei (6th Dan) from Geraldton, who visited our club to share his knowledge and teach some excellent techniques during the weekend. Andrew Sensei then conducted the grading for our coloured belt students on 26 & 27 June.

A big congratulations to everyone who graded successfully👏🏻🏅 Your commitment and perseverance continue to make our club proud.

A special thank you to Andrew Carey Sensei for making the trip to Karratha and sharing his expertise with our students, and to Carl Sensei for his ongoing dedication and support.

Well done, everyone! Keep training hard, stay humble, and continue striving to improve.

Minimum age to start karate training is 7 years old.

✅ Code of Conduct & Waiver
All members are now required to complete and sign our Code of Conduct & Waiver before proceeding with registration.
This ensures that all members and parents clearly understand our responsibilities, safety requirements, and club policies.

✅ New Subscription Payment System
We have also introduced subscription-based payments for:
❋ Term registrations
❋ Semester registrations
This change will make payments more convenient and help streamline our administration.

🎅 Thank You for a Wonderful Christmas Party & Presentation of Awards! 🎄

What an amazing way to finish the year!
Our KSK Christmas Party & Presentation of Awards was full of smiles, laughter, and celebration.

A huge thank you to Sensei Carl and Sensei Lee for presenting the awards to our students. The kids who received their awards were absolutely thrilled — and their parents couldn’t have been prouder! 🥋✨

All three Senseis — Carl, Lee, and Ayumi — were also surprised with heartfelt “Thank You Gifts” from our dojo kids and their parents🎁. Your dedication and guidance inspire us all.

We enjoyed so much delicious food together, and after the presentations, the kids had a blast on the Aqua Run at the Leisureplex pool! 💦

A big thank you to everyone who participated and to our amazing volunteers who helped make the day such a success. ❤️

We wish all our karate families a Merry Christmas and a happy, safe holiday season! 🎄🥳
