The origin of National Lost Sock Memorial Day is as big a mystery as the whereabouts of the socks the day is meant to remember.
Socks have been around for centuries and it’s clear everyone love their socks.
Worldwide billions are spent on socks and most men wear socks every day.
Gone are the days of the one colour, one style sock.
The sock industry continues to grow in sales and expand in variety.
With most Aussie having an ever expanding sock drawer, the odds of a paired sock losing its mate increases.
The average Aussie will lose 1 sock every month and that's a lot of socks every year.
It's of great distress when an Aussie loses a sock.
On this day we Aussies must stand united to pay tribute to our wondering and sometimes departed sock.

An idea, no matter how brilliant, is only potential energy — it doesn’t create change until you do something with it.
You don’t need to wait for perfect conditions, more time, or a bigger plan.
What matters is ex*****on — taking that first messy, uncertain step forward.
Because value isn’t in dreaming — it’s in doing.
Start small. Start scrappy. Just start.
Your idea could change everything — but only if you use it.
