Geelong Child Actor scores a role in a new ABC TV series.
Local child actor Monty Henderson stars in the new ABC children’s
TV series “The Inbestigators”
Geelong child actor Monty Henderson is seeing himself in a new Children’s series airing on the ABC each afternoon. Monty Henderson said , “ The Inbestigators” was a great experience for me. I really enjoyed playing the role of Toby who was a part of the class. The locations were great and it was fun working with the other kids.
Monty, who is originally from Scotland, had been training as an actor at Screen Actors Australia’s Geelong studio. Since playing the role of Toby in “The Inbestigators “, Monty has also started auditioning for roles in Los Angeles. His agent Screen Actors Agency, said ,“Monty recently did his first audition for a Hollywood agent and they really liked him”. John McGlynn, Director of Screen Actors Australia, said. “Monty is a great young actor. We train and also represent him through our Actors Agency. We hope he will go far as an actor.”
Monty is also continuing training with his friends at Screen Actors. When asked about his future as an actor Monty said, “I enjoy acting and its fun being on set in a big professional show. I am keeping up with my training to give myself the best chance of success in the industry ”.
“The Inbestigators” went to air on ABC ME on June 21 at 5pm. The show is running every day at that time and every Sunday at 9.30am as a half-hour double episode. The show will be on Netflix around the world in August.
It has been divided into two seasons, each with twenty episodes.
Screen Actors Australia operates its training studios in Geelong, North Melbourne and East Melbourne. In its 25 years of operating in Geelong the studio has launched the careers of many young actors some of whom have been main cast in TV series and films in both Australia and the USA.
