Aged Care News: From 1 October 2026, the Australian Government will pay the full cost of approved personal care services under the Support at Home funding package. Read more information below:

From 1 October 2026, the Australian Government will pay the full cost of approved personal care services. You will not pay a personal care contribution for services you access from this date. It can include:
· showering
· dressing
· eating
· personal hygiene
· help to manage continence that does not need a health professional
· help to take your medicine.

You will not pay for personal care services you receive from 1 October if:
· you have personal care included in your support plan
· you have enough funding available in your Support at Home budget.
