This year, the Dalby Welcoming Committee's annual R U OK? Day community art project was the Gumboot Art Project. The theme was inspired by the thought that sometimes life is messy, slippery and hard to get through but gumboots help us keep walking through the mud.

We are enormously grateful to Deb Mitchell, Sodexo Australia team member from our Stayover in Dalby village, for agreeing to lend her substantial talents towards painting our pair of gumboots and for sharing her inspiration - 'my country, my home'. Deb is a proud Kamilaroi woman and based her painting on the Great Southern Land - arid, grasslands, ocean and tropical with nature.

Along with our service provider Sodexo, the Stayover by Ausco team were proud to again be sponsors and volunteers at Dalby's Delicious and Delightful Festival. Since 2010, the Dalby Welcoming Committee has hosted this signature event, which celebrates multiculturalism through food, entertainment, and a fantastic lantern parade. We're proud to support the communities we operate in.

If there’s one thing that defines Stayover, it’s the hospitality that fuels our villages - and today, we turned that same energy inward to celebrate someone truly special.
Bill, our Operations Manager for Stayover, has been delivering next-level service behind the scenes for 15 years - shaping experiences, building teams and setting the gold standard in remote workforce accommodation.

Today the team brought together all of Bill’s favourite things: a nod to his love of Kung Fu, a toast to the Brisbane Broncos, Formula 1 and a feast of delicious Greek food (of course). Bill has helped make Stayover what it is today - and we’re all better for it.

Did you know that Stayover is a proud supporter of the Broncos School Development Program? 🏫

Our team recently had the chance to attend an event at Our Lady of the Southern Cross college in Dalby to see first hand the positive impact that the program has on young kids across the region. Covering topics such as physical fitness, participation, personal development, values, work ethic and academic effort, the program encourages kids to develop skills in teamwork, coordination and sportmanship, while also getting some good exercise! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our Stayover team recently donated a range of food and snacks to the Breakfast Club at Peg's Creek Primary School in Karratha, WA 🥕🍅

The Breakfast Club is open every morning and allows students to come in and enjoy a free meal, ensuring that they don't start their school day hungry. It also provides lunches and special meals as needed throughout the school term, and wouldn't be possible without the hard work of the students and teachers who give up their time to run it. Stayover by Ausco is incredibly proud to support this amazing initiative to support healthy and happy learning. 🏫
