💛 CELEBRATING OUR YOUNG VOLUNTEERS
Meet Kady! 👋
Our young people contribute to our communities in so many different ways, and we’re proud to celebrate the time, effort and care they give to others.
Each week, we introduce you to another young person making a difference in our community and share their story, in their own words.
Because every contribution matters, and every young person deserves to be celebrated. 💛
Do you know a young person (aged 12-25) who gives their time, helps others or quietly gets things done in our community?
Send us a nomination, we’d love to celebrate them too.

CELEBRATING OUR TEEN VOLUNTEERS
Volunteering doesn’t always look the same.
It might be helping at a sporting club, supporting a local event or volunteering with a community organisation. It might also be something less visible — mowing Grandma’s lawn, helping a neighbour, checking in on someone or simply giving your time when someone needs a hand.
There’s no one way to volunteer — every act of kindness, every helping hand and every contribution matters.
And what matters even more is that our teenagers are choosing to do it.
Young people across our community are giving their time, sharing their skills, taking on responsibility and looking out for others. They are making a real difference to the people and places around them.
This project is about celebrating them and the many ways they contribute.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll share the stories of some of our Teen volunteers — what they do, why they got involved, what they’ve learned and what volunteering means to them.
Because volunteering isn’t about how big the job is or whether anyone notices.
It’s about giving your time to make someone else’s life, or your community, a little better.
Our young people are doing exactly that — and that deserves to be celebrated.

🐉 Dungeons & Dragons: The Final Battle!
Our first Dungeons & Dragons campaign went out with a bang!
With the party battered and low on health, escaping the Clifftop Observatory was no easy task. Sparkrender, the blue dragon, wasn’t about to let them go without a fight! His lightning breath struck hard, leaving two party members down, but Ludwig’s quick thinking and life-saving healing magic brought them back from the brink.
After a desperate retreat, another brutal attack and a barrage of arrows, Link took one final shot that struck Sparkrender in the eye, bringing the dragon down for good!
The party made it back to Dragon’s Rest, where Runara welcomed them home. Stormwreck Isle was finally behind them, and new adventures await!
Across five sessions, our six adventurers have tackled challenges, worked together and created their own story. The kids had an absolute blast, and it’s been fantastic to see their confidence and teamwork grow along the way.
A huge thank you to Ryan Walker from Port Lincoln for bringing the adventure to life as our Dungeon Master. Ryan has also generously donated D&D sets to Our Town, giving the kids the chance to continue their adventures, put their new skills into practice and run their own games! 🎲
