The AES seeks to bring about significant positive social change by supporting Indigenous Australians in establishing successful careers. It does this through its Group Training Programs inclusive of school based training, apprenticeships, recruitment services, mentorships and community-based programs. First, completing a Certificate in Business Administration 🏆🎓💛 through an AES Traineeship with valued partner, Sandvik. Second, being accepted into the University of Newcastle Open Plan Foundation Program! 🔥AND gained her Provisional Licence through the AES Drive to Thrive program! 🪪🚗♥️

- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.

-Confident in the use of smart phone/devices.
-Hold a current Class C drivers license.
- Provide a Police/criminal history check, no older than in the last 6 months.
-Provide a copy of a valid Working With Children Check for employment purposes.

“We as women are everything to everyone else and nothing to ourselves, it’s okay to be selfish. Taking care of yourself is essential for long-term success and well-being. Strive for a balance between work and personal life. Don’t shy away from challenges or opportunities outside your comfort zone. Q: Why do you love about supporting Mob into careers?

“I enjoy working with mob because it allows me to make a meaningful impact on people's lives every day. The sense of accomplishment that comes with supporting mob to break down barriers into employment and gain sustainable employment is incredibly rewarding. The opportunity to collaborate with talented and passionate mob within my local community keeps me motivated and excited to come to work. Overall, my job gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment that makes every day worthwhile.”

Allira is looking forward to having independence with her license

Allira will be commencing full time employment as a child care educator with a local child care facility in Newcastle.

The AES team are very proud of Allira and all her achievements we know she will thrive in her new position

Drive to Thrive is a program assisting your first nation people aged between 16 - 30 with a license offering support with driving lesson and mentoring.

A big Congratulations to Amelia Duncan, who has currently passed her Practical Driving Assessment this week. The AES is super proud of you and your achievement. Ameila Duncan is one of the first participants to participate in the Drive to Thrive program.

Amelia has overcome many barriers within this last 18 months, Amelia has shown resilience and determination which has led her to this moment,Amelia is now looking forward to the independence with her licence!!

Drive to Thrive is a program that helps young First Nation people aged 15-30 with license and offered continues support with Driving Lessons and Mentoring support
